Speaking Up, Not Over: On being an Advocate for Trans* Students At our last conference, we began a conversation on how to be effective allies in a workshop entitled “Deep Listening for Trans* Allies”. As we enter into part-two of this workshop series, we will specifically focus on practical tips for being an ally to trans* and non-binary students. This session was previously presented in 2021 as part of the Academic Advisor Forums, but is being brought back to share with this new audience. (NOTE: session one is not a required perquisite for attending session two. However, feel free to email mattscott@missouristate.edu if you would like to have access to a videorecording of the original workshop).
