Diversity fellow

The Diversity Fellow - Academic Diversity Program Coordinator is responsible for the development of infrastructure for selected academic diversity programs within the Division for Diversity and Inclusion and Associate Provost for Student Development and Public Affairs (APSDPA). The Diversity Fellow, works cooperatively with the DDI and APSDPA staff to provide quality, seamless academic services, which includes publicizing data and news about faculty, staff, student and community engagement successes.

Diversity fellow Dr. Adena Young-Jones

Dr. Adena Young-Jones is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University-Commerce in May 2008 and has been has been employed at Missouri State University since August 2008.  Her research interests include academic motivation and achievement, student retention and success, and diversity issues. She teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses. Additionally, she created a diversity course for Psychology majors entitled Psychology of Diverse Populations (PSY 411).
